Over the past weekend a few friends and I headed out to Vernon for the opening of Silverstar. We had heard rumours of massive amounts of snow at the top but the only way to really find out was to shred it for ourselves.
While the group that arrived for the first day of action ( friday) were greated with some less than favourable weather, we managed to get a mostly sunny two days later on that weekend. The warm weather made a noticeable difference on the trails drying them up quite quickly and once you worked out what sections were closed or less than favourable you could linked together some pretty bangin runs.
