Well, the time has finally come around and the top of Mt 7 is good to go. All the trails on the hill are ready for action. From Dead dog to Summit trail and all the Black and Red WIne in between. The road winds up 14 km before you get to the goodness, the ride up never seems to end.
The boys cuddle in the back waiting in anticipation………Cute!
Due to a great night on staurday eve, the riding was a bit mellower the usual for our group, but tons of fun none the less. Feeling a bit off we opted out of doing Dead Dog for our first rip down and dipped into Red Wine.
Red Wine is one of the newest trails on the mountain. Its a super flowey single track with a few fun steep off camber corners that are so much fun its ridiculous. No man made features on this trail but the ridge runner section to the 10k conector is one of the purest smile sections you could ever ask for.
Dave dropping in at the top.
Kelly and Bas Flowing some upper tuns on Red WIne.
Our next rip led us to the Blacks Trail.
LC getting wood……..
Dom Keepin the rubber side down.
Blacks trail has the most features on it as far as Mt 7 goes.
The features range from teeters and bridges,Bas showing us how to teeter,
to good size drops and gaps.
Dave hitting the gap/step up line.
Dave and leif sending the biggest drop.
A nice skinny to step down.
After the last bit of the Blacks trail you hook back up with the tail end of Ridge runner. You then have the option of linking 5K or the 6.5K trail for tons more fun.
Leif popping 3k hits.
To End it all off with a bang after Snake hill, there is a juicy 25-30ft booter waiting for you at the bottom.
Dave and Leif sending a days goodbye.
After a long winter and spring of waiting the fun has finally come to us, never to let us down and always ready to provide some adrenaline pumping fun. Mt 7 is a must ride for any one coming to the rocky mountains. its got a bit of everything for the not so faint at heart.
We had a blast and will be back for some more sooner then later.
Stay tuned for Dead dog and more Red Wine.
