Most folks haven’t heard of a place called Exshaw, and why would they have. If you aren’t into the world of concrete or lime stone, you would have no reason to go……wait a minute, there is a great little bike trail out there called the Prospector that is definitely worth checking out.

Exshaw is a small hamlet about 20km east of Canmore on the 1A highway. and just behind it exists a hidden gem. a great all mountain trail that contains a few wooden features,

Some good steep consistent climbs,

(Eric Stonehouse and Evan Olaussen on some switch backs.)

Some rock slab,

The odd jump or drop,

Paul Kerfoot Drop.

And a bunch of flowey fun.

Myself, Eric and Evan had a blast on this trail, it has something for everyone. Well worth the trek to Exshaw.

They had great directions for the wide bar crowd.
