As Bike season comes upon us i have been sifting through some files on the comp and cam across a few that were missed from last year. Towards the end of the year Myself and good buddy Adrien went and did one of the classic Kananaskis Country loops Jewel Pass and Prairie View.
When Linked up these two sections of trail offer epic views and tons of fun that will put a smile on almost any riders face.
The view from the top of the Prairie view climb.
There is good trail marking on both sections of trail that will keep you from getting lost. Our 2 sweet whips doing some modeling with the signage.
A short section of flat fire road that follows Barrier Lake connects Jewel Pass to Prairie View.
There is a small section of hike a bike just at the top of the Prairie View Climb. as you can see it looks like tons of fun…. but adds some adventure to the ride.

Adrien ripping the jewel pass descent, my favorite part of the whole loop!
yet another epic view from a chunk of Jewel pass.
Adrian on the beginning of the Prairie View descent.
Get out and give this loop a ride, its a great one, if you want to turn it into an epic, add the Hector descent off the last switch back of the Prairie View fire road climb, then climb back up the fire road again. on your way down the west side of Prairie View turn right and head up Razors Edge for some of the best tech single track the Rockies has to offer.
