Earlier this month i made a trip out east to go to one of my best friends wedding’s and to visit a bunch of family. With the good weather on the horizon and a crappy forecast in the Bow Valley i took my bike and headed east.
Being the fall I happened to get the best possible week of the year for the colors and riding temp.
First bike stop was Mont St Marie.
A small ski hill in the Gatineau, an hour and a half north of Ottawa. It started with a 4.5 km ride up a fire road to get to the top of the mountain where there is a nice look out and the trail head.
The entrance top the top section of trail, Family jewel.
A self shot towards the top.
Some fun rock sections were scattered about.
There were epic views of the fall colors at the top.
With so many leaves it was a guessing game of where the trail went and what was hiding underneath.
The reds were out in full force.
The entrance to Pilsner. Pliser connected to at the end of family jewel and heads down.
Is it on?
A newer section of trail that had lots of fun flow to it. good
The Mont St Marie trails are a don’t miss if you are in the Ottawa area.
Next stop, Mont Tremblant.
Mont Tremblant has a fun network of trails that weaves around the village.
There is some super fun use of terrain on these trails including some wall rides, jumps and berm that was tons of fun .
I ran into a guy who had run an adventure center in Tremblant for the last 10 yrs. he gave me a bit of a tour and suggested the best route possible for me.
Epic views were in no shortage
