Well my new whip is finally complete!!

Just in time to race in Australia in a couple weeks. Although I may explode minutes into a race that I feel I’m probably not 100% prepared for (gym training and indoor riding aren’t quite the same as the real thing!) I feel this new carbon beast will be up to the task.

And as I untangle myself from a tree, or rock, or race tape at the side of the track, as I have forgotten how to turn left or something like that I will be certain not to blame my tools. Theres no way this bike will be blamed for any of my failings….100% rider error 100% of the time!!  The CarbineSL will slay all that is thrown at it I’m sure of it,

 

 

The bikes are rolling in!!! perhaps prematurely but while the temperature stays in the positives you at least get the sense that you’ll be riding soon. If you  follow the well know bicycle ownership equation  x+1, x being the amount of bikes you currently own then math tells me its time for a new whip!!

There are definitely some exciting new products coming out from Rocky Mountain, Intense Cycles and Norco this year. The introduction of the 27.5″ wheel into our lives  and more carbon than you can poke an inanimate carbon rod at! New drivetrain standards ( the standard being that there is no more standard) and lighter stronger bits from companies like Raceface, Easton and Shimano. Its pretty exciting, heres a lil taste of whats to come. Bring on the summer!!!!!!!

Anyone notice its not as dark out anymore? I have, and although we are not out of the woods yet I feel we have reached a turning point in the season…….and I want to ride my BIKE!!!!

While we are still a little ways off flip flops and t shirts in the park , there is still a feeling in the air that we are fast approaching dirt shredding season! I post these films for all of us to enjoy. Live vicariously through these bike riders for the time being. Soon… it will be ours…( maniacal laugh)
