Frisby Mountain, Revelstoke

Radness, Riding, Trails

I managed last week to sneak away for a couple days to Revelstoke to ride a new all mountain trail on Frisby Mountain. A 2 hour gradual climb into the beautiful alpine, followed by 12 kilometres of fun downhill!! A perfect pitch with natural hits and corners all the way down! Around 2200 ft of vert makes this a great ride for all abilities. If you want to make it a little more extreme you can connect from the parking lot of this trail into the Frisby Downhill trail, quite a bit steeper and more technical but does turn the ride into around 4000 ft of vert! Beautiful views and tonnes of fun!!…….oh yeeaahhh!!!!!

                Seans cabin in Revy

Getting the Yotas ready for the shuttle

            Nothing like some fresh rubber!!

Starting the climb, any easy granny gear climb

              Classic Revy forest

Fresh tracks, a little bit of rain made the trail extra tacky

The sun comes out…and the bugs…and the humidity

                 Pretty flowers

                  Sean shredding the alpine

                   Blue skies and singletrack

Quick breather before the descent to the lake

                Ready turner?!

Still a little snow at the top

You do get a little taste of downhill to the final destination

              Ahhhh beautiful!!!!

                      Go on jump in!!

The shred back begins, Sean getting cornery

              YEAH!!

Time to celebrate with a cold one!!

I like the views, but I don’t agree with the choice of beer. Call me a beer wanker but bud ain’t worth a bicep curl, if I’m lifting tinnies it’s gotta be bitchin. Bam! Really tho I’m just jealous, drinkin sweet beer is good but it’s no Canadian bike adveture. I’m bitter, there it is, I admit it.
